We were thrilled initially to learn that one of PlayStation 5’s upcoming games was going to be Spider Man: Miles Morales.
Then, to our disappointment, news stories started citing Sony Interactive Entertainment clarifying how it was only going to be an “expansion and enhancement” to the previous PlayStation 4 Spider-Man game.
Now, game maker Insomniac has said Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a “standalone game,” adding to the confusion about what exactly the PS5’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales game is going to be.
The latest intel we have comes from Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, who tweeted that Spider-Man Miles Morales will be a “brand-new, standalone game similar in scope to Uncharted Lost Legacy.”
Writing for Bloomberg, Schreier further reports that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be “significantly smaller” than Spider-Man PS4 and, consequently, cheaper than a full-price game.
