In a case of real life imitating art, NORAD – the North American Defence pact, an aerospace agency that provides security for the United States of America and Canada – is proposing a Strategic Homeland Integrated Ecosystem for Layered Defense as a potential new component.

According to the CBC, this version will be designed to monitor potential air, land, or space-based threats to the two countries through real-time data analysis.

Uh, it kinda sounds like Marvel’s SHIELD, really.
