The Boys are back!!! During “The Boys F**kin’ Reunited” livestream hosted by Patton Oswalt, we got to learn a few awesome things about the upcoming Season 2 of Amazon Prime’s The Boys.
First of all, we were introduced to the TV series’ version of Stormfront. Played by Aya Cash, this version is a woman – the newest addition to the Seven, replacing Translucent after his demise, who will also threaten Homelander’s leadership while using social media to secretly advance her political agenda. This is a marked difference from the male neo-nazi in the comics version.
Secondly, we saw the first 3 minutes of Season 2 and boy, was it a bloody gory experience! In those first few minutes, we see Vought-American and the US Department of Defense discuss letting supes join the military, while Black Noir violently slaughters a Compound V-powered terrorist cell.
Third, the date of when Season 2 drops was revealed: we’ll all get to reunite with The Boys on September 4, 2020!
Watch the three major announcements here:
Based on the comic series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys satirizes the world of comicbook superheroes by setting them in a universe where they are owned and monetized by Vought International, a corporation. Behind their façade as public superheroes, however, they are awful, corrupt individuals. The series focuses on the Seven, Vought International’s premier superhero team, and the titular Boys, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control.
